Follow these steps in order to properly administer eye drops:

  • 1. Wash hands before and after putting in eye drops
  • 2. Pull the lower eyelid down
  • 3. Put the drops into the space between the lower eyelid and the eyeball as shown in this picture:

  • 4. Do not let the bottle/dropper touch your eye or the area around it
  • 5. Close your eye, wipe away any drops or tears with Kleenex
  • 6. Wipe from inside to outside of eye
