Home: Introduction
The Ivey Eye Institute - formerly located at Victoria Hospital, will be fully consolidated on the first floor of St. Joseph’s Hospital by December 21st 2009 as part of Milestone 2, Phase 2 of the hospital restructuring project. A portion of the program moved back in August.
The new 54,000 sq. ft of space for Ivey is bright and modern and offers many improvements. The space is now divided into sub-specialties such as an area for retina, pediatric, general/ocular plastics; cornea/anterior segment; optometry low vision, glaucoma; and ophthalmic diagnostics. This will mean centralized way finding for patients and improved continuity of care.
The Ivey Eye Institute, which is the main referral centre for eye disease in Western Ontario, is committed to excellence in patient care, education and research. Its conference facilities, library collection, orthoptic service and diagnostic service provide a sound foundation for the Institute’s excellent reputation in all of its activities.
The Institute encompasses the previous services of the Ivey Institute of Ophthalmology, the University Campus Eye Clinic of the London Health Sciences Centre and the St. Joseph's Hospital Eye Clinic. The Ivey Eye Institute is affiliated with the University of Western Ontario.
The Ivey Eye Institute is located in London, Ontario, Canada.
